Loyalty controls

Control your program start date and decide what activity is allowed before launch.

Use Loyalty controls to set a launch cutoff for your program.

This section also controls what staff and customers can do before that date.

Where to find it

  1. Log in to your Perkville business dashboard.

  2. Go to Settings.

  3. Select Business info.

  4. Go to Loyalty controls.

What each setting does

Don't accept or create loyalty activity dated before

This is your program start date and time.

After you set it, Perkville will block loyalty activity dated earlier than that timestamp.

Use this when you want a clean launch date and do not want older activity counted.

Pre-launch info message

This message appears when someone reaches the program before it is active.

Use it to explain that the program has not launched yet and where to send questions.

Good messages usually include:

  • when the program will become active

  • whether staff can help before launch

  • a support email or phone number

Allow referrals before start date

Turn this on if you want referrals to be accepted/submitted before the launch date.

Leave it off if you want referral activity to begin only after launch.

Allow staff to manually add/redeem points to accounts before start date

Turn this on if staff should be able to manually add points before launch.

This is useful for setup, corrections, and controlled testing.

Leave it off if no points should be earned/redeemed before the program starts.

Allow staff to earn/redeem points before start date

Turn this on if staff should be able to participate before launch.

This is commonly used for training, QA, or a soft launch.

If this option stays off, staff must wait until the start date.

Who can earn/redeem points before the start date?

This appears after you allow staff to earn or redeem points before launch.

Use it to choose which staff members get early access.

If All staff members is selected, any user with staff access can participate before the start date.

To manage staff access, see Staff members.
