Perkville automates email notifications to support your loyalty and referral program, keeping customers engaged and your business informed. These emails help drive program participation, encourage referrals, and ensure customers stay aware of their rewards and progress.

How Perkville Sends Emails

Emails will be sent on behalf of your business but will come from a Perkville domain (e.g., [email protected]) unless you configure a custom branded domain, such as [email protected].

Reply-to Address

The reply-to address can be configured in the Business Info section of your settings. We recommend setting it to an email address for your business or support team to ensure customers can reach you directly if they respond to an email.

Customization

You are able to update the appearance of your emails via your program's branding settings. You can also update your welcome message (included in invitation emails) and Custom Notice (displays a custom button on your emails) via your program's advanced settings.

Managing Email Preferences

Your customers can update their own email preferences at any time. Every Perkville email includes a link to manage settings or unsubscribe. Learn more about managing email preferences here.

Toggling Activity Emails

You can decide which earning activities trigger an email notification from your program's reward program settings. For example, you can choose whether or not to send an email when customers earn points on their birthday.

Emails Sent by Perkville

Encourage customers to join your loyalty program with automated invitation emails, making it easy for them to sign up and start earning rewards.

  • Welcome Invite: Sent to a customer after they complete their first earning event, prompting them to join your loyalty program.

  • General Registration Invite: Sent to customers who sign up for Perkville directly on our website.

  • Staff Invite: Sent to customers that have been invited to join a business' loyalty program by a staff member.

Keep customers engaged by notifying them when they earn points through check-ins, purchases, and other activities that earn points.

  • Points Earned Alert: Sent when a customer who joined your loyalty program earns points.

  • Weekly Points Summary: Sent to a customer summarizing their point activity over the past week.

Notify customers when they redeem a reward.

  • Reward Redemption Confirmation: Sent to a customer after they redeem a reward.

  • Voucher Expiration Reminder: Sent to a customer alerting them that they have unused vouchers that will expire soon.

Referral Emails

When a customer refers a friend, if you have the Share offer and enter friend's information layout, then the customer can enter their friend's email into Perkville and Perkville will send an email to the friend on the customer's behalf, prompting the friend to claim an offer from your business.

  • Referral Invite Without Offer: Sent when a customer refers a friend but no referral offer is set up.

  • Referral Invite With Offer: Sent when a custom refers a friend and an active referral offer is available.

  • Offer Claimed: Sent to a referred prospect after they claim a referral offer at your business.

Point Expiration Notifications

Encourage customers to redeem rewards before their points expire.

  • Point Expiration Warning: Sent to a customer alerting them that they have points that will expire soon.

Boost engagement in challenges with timely updates.

  • Challenge Invitation: Invites customers to join a challenge.

  • Challenge Progress Update: Sent to a customer who has joined the challenge after earning progress in the challenge.

  • Challenge Completion: Sent to a customer who has joined the challenge after completing the challenge.


Emails Sent to Business Staff

Perkville also keeps your staff informed with automated notifications and reports on program activity, ensuring your team can monitor and optimize performance.

Reports

  • Daily Report: Sent to business staff summarizing the activity at their business over the past day.

  • Weekly Report: Sent to business admins summarizing their business' activity over the past week.

  • Monthly Report: Sent to business admins summarizing their business' activity over the past month.

Notifications

  • Staff Added: Sent to a new staff member after they are added as a staff member at a business.

  • Business Live Alert: Sent to business admins when their business first goes live on Perkville.

  • Reward/Offer Redemption Alert: Sent to business admins and employees when a customer claims an offer or redeems a reward.

  • Upload Limit Exceeded: Sent to a business admin when a batch upload fails due to too many records.

  • Batch Upload Report: Sent to a business admin after a batch upload completes successfully.

  • Referral Completed: Sent to a business admin after a new customer has been successfully referred to their business.

  • Coupon Reminder: For businesses that have uploaded custom coupon codes, this email is sent to staff when codes are running low.

  • Invite Upload Report: Sent to a business admin after they have successfully uploaded a list of users to be invited to their rewards program.

  • Plan Overage Warning: Sent to a business admin alerting them that they have exceeded the maximum number of transactions that their plan allows.


Emails Sent to Customers or Staff

  • Confirm Email Address: Sent when registering or changing a primary email address.

  • Account Merge Request: A confirmation email sent during the account merge process.

  • Account Merge Confirmation: Sent to a user after they have successfully merged two accounts.
