Referral
To set up a Referral Earning Rule in Perkville, from your business dashboard, go to the "Reward Program" option located in the left navigation menu. Scroll to "Earning Activities" and select the "+" icon to create a new Referral rule. The steps to create the rule are listed below.
Define Points for Completed Referrals: Specify the number of points a customer will earn when their referred friend completes a qualifying action. A qualifying action could be making a purchase, buying a membership, or any other activity you define as necessary for completing a referral. You can set one or more qualifying actions according to your business needs.
Requirement of First Name and Last Name: Determine whether the first name and last name of the referred friend are required when your customers opt to refer their friends by entering their friends' information directly into Perkville. Your customers can enter their friends' first name, last name, and email address and then Perkville will send the offer on their behalf. If this method is used, Perkville will store a relationship between your customer and their friend immediately and track when the friend completes the qualifying action to ensure the referrer is rewarded.
By Sharing a URL: Please note that your customers can also refer friends by sharing a special offer with their friends using a unique URL via any messaging platform, such as text or Facebook. If a customer shares their referral link with a friend and the friend claims the offer by entering their contact information, Perkville will then establish a relationship between the customer and their friend and track the completion of the qualifying action. Points are then automatically awarded to the referrer once the action is completed.
Referral Description: Optionally, you can add a description to the referral rule to provide customers with additional details about the process. For example, you might specify that the referral is only considered complete if the friend purchases a membership.
